In compliance with the new ordinance issued by the Autonomous Province of Bolzano, the 29th edition of Merano WineFestival is postponed to the 26th to 30th of March 2021.
From the 6th to 10th of November, the digital version of the event is confirmed on the WineHunter Hub channel.

This year we are already celebrating the 29th edition of the Merano WineFestival! It is the unique occasion to taste selected products of highest quality rewarded with The WineHunter Award. The elegant venue of the Kurhaus Merano is the perfect surrounding for the incomparable atmosphere at the MWF and it is its seat ever since from the second year on.
The Merano WineFestival is meeting point for wine and food producers and an expert audience from importers, press representatives, influencers to wine&food lovers. Your opportunity to exchange opinions and views, to learn about the novelties and trends on the market, to taste the products of The Official Selection and to simply meet your fellow passionate during a journey through the history of wine and food, at a showcooking, during a masterclass or a symposia and a lot more.
The 2019 edition, characterized by numerous exciting side events, involved more than 950 among the world’s and Italy’s best wineries, and more than 150 artisans of taste. The high quality is certified by The WineHunter Award assigned by Helmuth Köcher: the recognition of excellence conferred to products that distinguish themselves not only by quality but also by history.
The Merano WineFestival kicks off with Naturae et Purae – bio&dynamica: a day devoted to the growing trend of organic, bio-dynamic, natural, “orange”, and PIWI wines. The highly demanded Gala Dinner is the Official Opening Night, however, for invited guests only. The heart and soul of the event is yet The Official Selection – Wine: the tastings of national and international wines, all selected by The WineHunter tasting commissions. Not to forget The Official Selection – Food, Spirits, Beer which you find in the GourmetArena with a selection of culinaria, beerpassion, aquavitae, and particular territories: a journey across Italy and the world to celebrate highest quality. What would be the world of wine without refined accessories and trade press: exhibitors of extrawine and media are spread throughout the event. The Circle in Piazza della Rena is the place giving space to telling stories and sharing emotions and impressions. Merano Wine Citylife, the so callel Fuorisalone is everything that surrounds the Meranese festival in collaboration with partners whose attractions are also open after the closing of the main event. Nothing less but the Catwalk Champagne rounds everything off glamorously: a real catwalk of prestigious champagne paired with a close selection of culinary excellences.
