THE WINEHUNTER AWARD “WINE, FOOD, SPIRITS, BEER” Guide 2020 is the very first printed guidebook that contains the meticulous work of a year-long research and tastings in which The WineHunter Helmuth Köcher, together with his tasting commissions, selected the excellences of the Italian wine and culinary panorama.
Leafing through the pages of THE WINEHUNTER AWARD Guide 2020, you can embark on an exclusive journey to the most renowned wine-growing areas of Italy and discover the incredible realities of culinary products, entering into symbiosis with the motto “Excellence is an attitude”, which has always distinguished us since the very beginning in 1992.
The guidebook presents 1,329 Italian wine producers from all the regions of Italy with the details of one up to a maximum of five awarded wines. For the sections Food Spirits Beer you can discover a selection of 155 food producers, 51 spirits producers and 19 beer producers, all of them from Italy.
The introduction to the guide book gives you an insight to Helmuth Köcher’s personal division of micro wine-growing areas in the regions of Italy. Also, you can hop back in time and discover the historical background of wine in Merano and learn more about the development up to the present.
