Naturae et Purae

Naturae et Purae is conceived by The WineHunter and Merano WineFestival.

In conjunction with the Merano Flower Festival (MFF), there will also be a preview of the Merano WineFestival, an unmissable annual event in November with the excellence of wines and world gastronomy.
It is a sensory experience of floral aromas and a riot of typical “made in Italy” and international flavors that, combined with the purity of wine, cocktails, Beer, Spirits. They fully expresses the sustainability and the enhancement of excellence.

Campania Felix – Blanc de Blanc will be represented by all the most important wineterritories of the Campania region and the finest products between wine and delicacies will be tasted.

Cult Oenologists are true creators of unique wines and have shown high professionalism in the last 10-20 year. They will present the wines of their most representative companies for tasting.

In the context of Flower Cocktail & Drink, the Spirits & liquors companies will be the first actors with an important presence of various bartenders who will perform in the Mixology creation of unique and specially created Cocktail & Drinks. The bar tenders with the best interpretations will be awarded.

Catwalk Rosè is the magical and unique world driven by rose wine that will create an exciting moment with over 30 national producers from North to South who will present their award-winning wines for tasting.

Think Tank is a digital conference that can be followed by all parts of the world and will address the importance and value of sustainability in the wine industry.

Catwalk Bollicine created by Merano WineFestival and Milano Wine Week is a cultural journey into the extraordinary world of Italian sparkling wine, which wants to promote and enhance the uniqueness of these products.

From the historic production areas to the most recent and innovative experiments, visitors can discover only the best of it and immerse themselves into the culture of the product itself and compare its origins, vines and methods of production.

The first stage of Catwalk Bollicine will be held in Milan from October 4 to 10 on the occasion of the Milan Wine Week and will continue with a second stage at the 29th Merano WineFestival from November 6 to 10.

SECTOR OPERATORS and PRESS can be accredited via eventi@milanowineweek.it by sending “name and surname, preferred date and time slot”.
The accreditation allows access to the Babila Building at the indicated time and free tasting of the bubbles selected by The WineHunter.

Admission is free for all WINE LOVERS; the tasting will be paid via the Wineemotion app at a cost of € 2.50 per glass.

Merano WineFestival meets Traubenfest Festa Dell’Uva Merano

Traditions do not stop and the usual Merano Grape Festival will take place at the weekend from 17th to 18th October 2020.

In a scenario in which various autumn initiatives will recall tradition and thanksgiving for the gifts of the harvest, four exceptional Masterclasses will take place in the Kurhaus to discover the “culture of wine”!

On Saturday 17th October and Sunday 18th October visitors will be able to take an exclusive tour inside the Kurhaus, the symbol of the city and location of the Merano WineFestival and afterwards they will have the opportunity to experience the incredible world of wine: two tasting sessions will be organized (the first one in Italian, the second one in German) held by a member of The WineHunter Tasting Commission, at 11.00 a.m. and 2.00 p.m.

It will be a unique opportunity to broaden your cultural and enogastronomic horizons, in an elegant city like Merano and of course it is the perfect opportunity to get ready for the Merano WineFestival that takes place from 6th to 10th of November.

Merano WineFestival meets Gran Premio Merano

Also this year for the local presentation of the Merano WineFestival we are back at the Hippodrome Merano for the event Merano WineFestival meets Gran Premio Merano that is taking place on September 27th.

The appointment is the prestigious horse racing event of the 81st Grand Prix Merano Alto Adige, the most important obstacle race in Europe.
A perfect day in which elegance and worldliness are the masters and perfectly match with the space conceived by Helmuth Köcher, The WineHunter.

In this exclusive setting the visitors have the opportunity to enter in the Italian wine and food world, tasting the delicacies of a selection of partners and producers of the Merano WineFestival.
Among the flavors and scents that characterize the best of the national wine&food, visitors can taste the elegant appetizers at one of our three stands dedicated to wine, with a focus on sparkling wines, culinaria and spirits.

With the sound of pawing hooves and surrounded by tasty delicacies, September 27th will be an opportunity to bet on your horse, feed your palate and prepare you in the best possible way for the 29th edition of the Merano WineFestival that will take place from November 6th to 10th.

In compliance with the new ordinance issued by the Autonomous Province of Bolzano, the 29th edition of Merano WineFestival is postponed to the 26th to 30th of March 2021.
From the 6th to 10th of November, the digital version of the event is confirmed on the WineHunter Hub channel.

Merano WineFestival… where since 1992 excellence meets elegance.

This year we are already celebrating the 29th edition of the Merano WineFestival! It is the unique occasion to taste selected products of highest quality rewarded with The WineHunter Award. The elegant venue of the Kurhaus Merano is the perfect surrounding for the incomparable atmosphere at the MWF and it is its seat ever since from the second year on.

The Merano WineFestival is meeting point for wine and food producers and an expert audience from importers, press representatives, influencers to wine&food lovers. Your opportunity to exchange opinions and views, to learn about the novelties and trends on the market, to taste the products of The Official Selection and to simply meet your fellow passionate during a journey through the history of wine and food, at a showcooking, during a masterclass or a symposia and a lot more.

The 2019 edition, characterized by numerous exciting side events, involved more than 950 among the world’s and Italy’s best wineries, and more than 150 artisans of taste. The high quality is certified by The WineHunter Award assigned by Helmuth Köcher: the recognition of excellence conferred to products that distinguish themselves not only by quality but also by history.
The Merano WineFestival kicks off with Naturae et Purae – bio&dynamica: a day devoted to the growing trend of organic, bio-dynamic, natural, “orange”, and PIWI wines. The highly demanded Gala Dinner is the Official Opening Night, however, for invited guests only. The heart and soul of the event is yet The Official Selection – Wine: the tastings of national and international wines, all selected by The WineHunter tasting commissions. Not to forget The Official Selection – Food, Spirits, Beer which you find in the GourmetArena with a selection of culinaria, beerpassion, aquavitae, and particular territories: a journey across Italy and the world to celebrate highest quality. What would be the world of wine without refined accessories and trade press: exhibitors of extrawine and media are spread throughout the event. The Circle in Piazza della Rena is the place giving space to telling stories and sharing emotions and impressions. Merano Wine Citylife, the so callel Fuorisalone is everything that surrounds the Meranese festival in collaboration with partners whose attractions are also open after the closing of the main event. Nothing less but the Catwalk Champagne rounds everything off glamorously: a real catwalk of prestigious champagne paired with a close selection of culinary excellences.

The WineHunter Wien event returns to Vienna for the sixteenth stage, this year as part of the VieVinum, the most renowned wine fair in Austria, in the unique location of the Vienna Hofburg.
VieVinum offers the producer the opportunity to present his excellent wines to an audience of 15,000 visitors, in particular foreign journalists and German-speaking professionals. In this WineHunter Area visitors have the opportunity to taste Italian wines awarded with The WineHunter Award. The WineHunter award is the Merano WineFestival award and therefore a guarantee of product elegance and quality at the highest levels.

The Location
The Hofburg, located in the heart of Vienna, is a unique place that is characterized by its imperial charm. The grandeur of the 35 rooms increases the value and makes this wine event an unforgettable experience.

The WineHunter Business Tastings

The WineHunter Business Tastings is a new format in which wine producers, together with hoteliers, restaurateurs and trade visitors, can taste the wines and culinary delights that have been awarded by The WineHunter Award and can get in touch via video conference.

These tastings take place in the tasting room at the headquarters of Gourmet’s International (Ifingerstraße 19, 39010 Tscherms). Wine producers and producers of culinary delights are connected via video conference and present their products to a selected audience of trade visitors.

The WineHunter and President of the Merano WineFestival Helmuth Köcher moderates the tastings and acts as a link between the present trade audience and the producers, who present their products via video conference.

After the tasting, an aperitif with a get-together will take place on the terrace.

Format of the tasting series

• 1 hour of product presentation and tasting

• 8-12 people present (specialist audience) who taste together in the tasting room of Gourmet`s International

• Safety distance and hygiene regulations are guaranteed

• 5 producers (wine and culinary delicacies) – which are switched on for tasting via video conference and present your products

• 1 moderator (Helmuth Köcher)

• After the tasting aperitif on the terrace

WineHunter München Gourmet’s Italia

WineHunter München gourmet’s italia is a unique opportunity to taste Italian wines and culinary delights selected by The WineHunter. It is the occasion to deeply involve yourself in the atmosphere of a typical day in the Italian cuisine.
