Grand Kameha Zürich

WineHunter Zürich is the first event in the Swiss city organized by Gourmet’s International in collaboration with the magazine Vinum.

Set in a unique and elegant location, WineHunter Zürich is the opportunity to get to know the best of Italy’s production. The event is targeted to a professional audience of experts and journalists in the wine field. Do not miss the chance to taste in one evening a selection of Italian wines, chosen by Helmuth Köcher, organizer of the Merano WineFestival.

Also a guided tastings, a Masterclass is taking place and will be lead by Helmuth Köcher, The WineHunter himself. Get to know different vintages of a specific wine in a calm setting, while listening to the story behind the wine and its production. The topic of the tasting is yet to be defined.

In order to affirm the presence of an expert Swiss audience the event is organized in collaboration with Vinum, leading Swiss magazine for the world of wine. Founded in 1980, Vinum is the biggest European magazine devoted to wine. Its readership comes from France, Switzerland, Germany, Austria, and Spain. Every month it presents to its public more than 300 selected wines and focuses on the latest trends and best products and producers of the international wine scene.

In the United States the interest in Italian excellences is an ever-growing phenomenon. It is synonym to an increasing attention to high-quality wines and products that are not only able to describe Italy, its history and traditions, but also, to match and to enhance numerous dishes and flavors from all over the world.

The desire to create an atmosphere of dialogue and the discovery of new products has inspired Helmuth Köcher, founder of the Merano WineFestival and cofounder of the WineHunter Society in America. That is why the WineHunter USA tour presents some of the best Italian producers to a professional American audience. Producers introduce their wines rich in history and emotions, and their culinary excellences to importers, distributers, industry professionals, and to a selected audience.

Wine&Siena is an event created to usher in the new year, and is organized by Gourmet’s International together with Confcommercio Siena, Camera di Commercio Siena and Comune di Siena that celebrate and embrace the excellence of Italian wine and cuisine. The event is brought to you by the organizers and creators of the Merano WineFestival, to celebrate The WineHunter Award winning products in Siena, a historical city and symbol of Italian viticulture.

Born in 1992, the Merano WineFestival is the event where excellence embraces the world of elegance.

It is the first event in Europe that has developed a gracious tasting round of exceptional products with a unique glass of wine.

The festival that unites the exquisite world of wine and food is the perfect moment for an exchange of opinions between professionals and enthusiasts of the world of wine, food and more.

In its 27 years, the prestige of the Merano WineFestival has grown worldwide and it is becoming synonymous with high quality.

20 – 21 October – Lungo Passirio Merano

On the occasion of the Traubenfest, Merano will be filled with popular music, traditional parades and of course tastings of typical South Tyrolean dishes.
On October 20 to 21, for the first time, the area along the Lungo Passirio, the river that crosses the city, will be dedicated to Merano WineFestival meets Traubenfest. You find a tasting itinerary of Southtyrolian wines from the Burgraviato and typical regional food.
The Traubenfest Meran is about creative workshops for children, a farmers’ market with regional products, different musical and folk groups from Southtyrol and other regions, a great folk parade and about 45,000 guests.

13th and 14th of October 2018 – Acquario Romano

The Preview to Merano WineFestival at Rome is an event created by Gourmet’s International and aims to be the perfect place for producers to network and create new professional contacts. The Anteprima MWF is held in the grand and elegant location Acquario Romano in Rome, Italy.

This enchanting location is situated in the center of the city and has great historical and artistic significance. Today, having parted from its initial purpose as an aquarium, it is a space for showings and events of the highest caliber. The main room, with its splendid arches and decor, creates a magical atmosphere to present, taste, and discuss distinctive wine and food products.

Anteprima Merano WineFestival Roma is set to occur on the 13th and 14th of October, 2018. We eagerly await your attendance!

Edition 2017

The 2017 edition of the event saw the attendance of 60 producers who presented a total of 250 different wine labels. Among those producers, 20 also presented culinary, brewed, and distilled products. Over 700 visitors and 150 journalists attended the event, which was also held at the Acquario Romano.

In addition to the main tasting, the event was attended by renowned chefs, and was host to several showcooking presentations.

A collaboration with a renowned local communications agency to guarantee the attendance of the press, opinion leaders, f&b managers, professionals, sommeliers, restaurateurs, cooking schools, and other relevant members of the sector at the event. The Press and PR office is active at the local, regional, national, and international levels, with extensive involvement in media and communications across the industry.

Partnership

Media partnership agreements are in place on paper and the web, and through television and radio. Also in place is a partnership with AIS for a co-marketing campaign to guarantee widespread promotional circulation.

From September 21st to 23rd, for the first time, Vino in Vulcano – WineHunter Catania takes place on the beautiful island of Sicily. Taste precious wines and food, rewarded with The WineHunter Award, right inside the Monastero dei Benedittini di San Nicolò l’Arena.

Künstlerhaus – Munich

WineHunter Munich is the event dedicated to the city of Munich and it is the unique possibility to taste the best of Italian wine and food. Different show cooking give the opportunity to get to know the Italian way of cooking.

Taste a selection of products from 70 wineries and 15 producers of food from different regions of Italy. We await around 600 visitors.

The WineHunter Lounge
The WineHunter Lounge is an elegant séparée with a bar area for sponsors and exhibitors. The area is the right place for professional discussions, interviews, tastings and talks with sponsors.

In the United States the attention to Italian high-quality products is rising and it is essential to show how Italy is able to create these products of highest quality that are suitable for dishes from all over the world. Made in Italy products tell their own story thanks to characteristics that are simply unique.

Italian producers themselves present the emotions of their products.

Importers, distributers, professionals of the sector and a private audience have the unique possibility to taste Italian products and to directly talk to the producers.

Exclusively for professionals of the sector, we organize a Masterclass guided by Helmuth Koecher (max. 20 persons).

The event is organized in collaboration with the two known importers Noble Harvest and Mariposa Fine Wine&Spirits.
